O2B Healthy For Assertiveness Workshop

Assertiveness is a skill that is absolutely necessary for optimal success after WLS. Do you find yourself going along with unhealthy behaviors, afraid to say "No?" As you set healthy limits for yourself, you run up against old styles of relating that don't serve your path to health and vitality after obesity surgery. You need assertiveness skills to regain your health.

O2B Assertiveness is all about putting yourself in the center of your life, knowing your emotional and physical needs, and making sure that you tend these needs with respect. You may begin the WLS experience afraid that you will not be accepted and loved by others if you do not sacrifice your own needs in the service of theirs. Over the weekend, you learn that your valiant efforts to ignore your own needs have actually distanced you from others.
